What We Love About Rebecca's Artkive Book

10-year-old Rebecca was selected to be our Featured Artist after seeing her creative use of mixed media, a signature style that is the foundation of her impressive art.

Clearly, her use of watercolors and pastels is brilliant, but what stood out to the Artkive team was how Rebecca would incorporate paper cutouts or 3D elements to complete some of her compositions.

Rebecca also isn’t afraid to experiment with different styles and inspirations. Her playful nod to Van Gogh’s Starry Night shows confidence in pattern, movement, and bold contrast—while other pieces (like her chalk art and pastel bird) show how she can shift mediums and still keep her work cohesive. That “try anything” approach is often where kids discover what they truly love creating.
